Joey Escobar began his career in 1968, at the age of 8. Born and raised in Southern California, Mr. Escobar trained under Chuck Norris in the traditional Tang Soo Do Style.

As an accomplished tournament fighter, Joey became Team Captain of the U.S. Karate Team. Other credits include:

  • International Grand Championship

  • World Pro-Am Champion

  • 3 time American National Champion

  • Battle of Atlanta Champion

  • 3 time International Light Heavyweight Champion

  • Team Captain US Karate Team

  • Pan American Champion

  • Canadian-American Champion

  • 7 time International Middleweight Champion

  • 2 time Hawaiian Grand Champion

However, his greatest accomplishment and thrill is watching his students earning their black belts and taking home their own championship trophies.

Not only is Mr. Escobar an 8th degree Black Belt Master in Tang Soo Do Karate, but he is also a boxing and kickboxing instructor. He has trained with world champions and contenders world wide and shares his knowledge and passion for the Martial Arts with his hometown of Malibu.
